We Have Some Major Best Sellers
Many of our books are New York Times and Publisher's Weekly "Best Sellers." And some of our authors had multiple books on these lists.
Richard Bissell's Say Darling, the hilarious story of his experiences turning a hit book, 7 1/2 Cents into the hit Broadway play Pajama Game, spent 14 weeks on both lists.
Many of the books in C.S. Forester's Hornblower saga spent time on both lists, as did several other Forester books including several of his books on WWII naval warfare. The Ship was on the New York Times list for 16 weeks and The Good Shepherd for 18 weeks. Both are well researched and compelling accounts of the experiences of men and ships at war. And both books were on the Publisher's Weekly list for 24 and 32 weeks respectively.
Both books in James Street's Wingo saga spent 17 weeks on the New York Times list, as did several of his other books. CIA: The Inside Story, an overview of the operations, development, accomplishments and tactics of the early years of this pivotal agency by Andrew Tully spent 16 weeks on the New York Times list and 27 weeks on the Publisher's Weekly list.
Most impressive of all, Taylor Caldwell's story of the life of St Luke, Dear and Glorious Physician spent more than 14 months on both lists.
We listened when people told us that they especially like to find those best sellers from previous years, so we will be adding an option to our search function that will bring up all of our books on these list for you to browse. Enjoy!
